Dawn Marie Thompson, age 50, of Conway, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Allegheny General Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 17, 1970 in Rochester, to Donald and Toni (Rubino) Worrell of Hopewell Twp. A 1988 graduate of Hopewell High School, she attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She began her career in hairstyling at Regis Salon where she worked for 30 years and served as a manager for several years. Upon the closing of Regis Salon at the Beaver Valley Mall, she went to work for Classic Cuts in Baden where she was currently employed. Her passions in life after her children and family included attending Pirate games in different cities, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and taking family vacations with her best friends, David and Sherri Smart and the whole vacation crew to Cancun. She was an avid reader and loved a "good book". Dawn was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway and the Conway Croation Club. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Katherine Thompson on February 20, 2021. She is survived in addition to her parents by her devoted and loving husband, Robert D. Thompson, Sr., two sons, Robert D. Thompson Jr. of Brookline, PA, and Anthony John Thompson at home, three sisters, Sherrie Worrell of Baden, Shannon DeFerrari of Pittsburgh and Shawn (Jody) Kevish of Coraopolis, special aunt and uncle, Lori and Jim Thompson of Hopewell, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, John and Becky Thompson of Clinton, Susan and Paul Ceratti of Economy, Linda and Tom Mullin of South Beaver Twp., Mark Thompson of Lawrence, PA, her precious cats and companions, Eddie, Naya, and Lucy along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-5 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Dr. Ambridge where prayers will be offered Monday at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
