David E. Barnett

David E. Barnett, 65, of Economy, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 18, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 9, 1954 in Canton, Ohio to the late George and Louise (Baisinger) Barnett. He was employed as a delivery driver for Target Office Products and was a former auto mechanic. David enjoyed working on cars, was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and was passionate about collecting and building model trains. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were two sisters, Norma Sickles and Mary Rausch. He is survived by his wife, Anita (Hanne) Barnett, a sister, Florence Barnett, brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Becky Hanney of Sugarland, TX and nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 1 P.M. Interment with full military honors will take place at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
