Cheryl-Ann Glus Obituary

Cheryl-Ann Faith (Ferrar) (Klimkowski) Glus’s story began on April 18, 1960. Cheryl was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and sister to her family. She was admired for her baking, cooking, cleaning, and organization skills. Cheryl was the fifth child of six children born to the late Jerome W. Ferrar Sr. and the late Joanna (Burgo) (Ferrar) Kozak. She was born in Pittsburgh and raised in McCandless Township. She was a member of St. Ursula Church in Allison Park and graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1978. She married her first husband (John Klimkowski) in July 1978, and they moved to South Heights, PA, where John had built their new home, and where she had four children, Jason, Adam, Julie-Ann, and Jacob. For many years, Cheryl was a stay-at-home mom. She took a very active role in raising her four children. She was involved in La Leche League and was a co-founding mother and a co-chair of the LICC Interagency Coordinating Council and a member and vice president of the Beaver County Local Task Force for School-Age Children. Her children’s educations were very important to her. She was active in the PTA and traveled throughout Pennsylvania for many conferences to hear and learn from speakers about special education. She was an advocate for children with special needs. One of her biggest jobs was playing chauffer, driving her children to their many activities—baseball, ice hockey, soccer, basketball, dance, and Girl Scouts. Cheryl always volunteered for her children’s school trips. They visited Washington, D.C., and even went on camping trips with the Girl Scouts. Cheryl divorced her husband in 1997. In February 2003, she married the love of her life, Ronald A. Glus, at the Prince of Peace Anglican Church, where they are active members. Cheryl was in several bible study groups in church and for several years was in vestry. Cheryl loved to travel with her husband, including to Hawaii, where they spent their honeymoon. They also traveled to Florida, drove for two weeks through the Midwest, crossing fifteen states, and attended a wedding at the top of a mountain in Aspen, Colorado. Cheryl often flew to Nevada to visit her daughter and family. Family was the most important thing in Cheryl’s life. She made each of her children a separate photo album with all of their pictures from birth until now. Her grandchildren were her heart and joy. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with them. Cheryl went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2021. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends. Cheryl led a life of giving to others and being an example of a good Christian woman. She shared her faith with others and let them know how important it was to have a life with Jesus Christ in it. Cheryl-Ann Faith is survived by her loving husband, Ron, her son Jason and grandson Kai, her son Adam (Sarah) and grandchildren Eva and Aidan, her daughter Julie-Ann Faith (Andrew) and grandchildren Riley-Ann and Evan, her son Jacob, and her stepson Jeremy (Katie) and grandchildren Jack and Athena. She is also survived by four siblings, Diane, Gerianne (Gigi), James, and Jerome (Marcus). Her oldest sister, Marian, is already in heaven waiting for her. She also leaves behind her sweet dogs, Gracie and Chloe, and cats, Joy and Faith. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and Wednesday from 9 A.M. til time of Blessing Service at 11 A.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA 15003, with Pastor John Heidengren officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Prince of Peace Anglican Church, 1314 Gringo Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001, a church of your choosing, or simply do an act of kindness in God’s name.
