Bradford Silk Jr. Obituary

Bradford James Silk Jr., of Leetsdale, passed away at home on May 4, 2025, with his loving family by his side.  He was born in Pittsburgh on April 20, 1946, to the late Bradford Sr. and Mavis (Wells) Silk.; and preceded in death by his sister Susan (Hamilton) Silk.

Brad was a dedicated public servant; serving 4 years in the United States Navy; also serving as a cub scout master, fire fighter for 45-years, fire chief for 8 years; city councilman for 8 years and was the chairman of the municipal water sewage board. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with his sons, grandchildren and close friends.  Brad was a loving husband, father to his children and pups, and proud to be a grandfather and great-grandfather.

Bradford is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Anne (Cummins) Silk; sons, Bradford James Silk III (Barbara), Robert Francis Silk; grandchildren, Ashley Anne Knutson (Andrew), Bradford James Silk IV (Amy), Victoria Lynn Hickerson (John), Sean Robert Silk (Anna); great-grandchildren, Lilly Silk, Aiden Knutson, and expected Iris Silk; sister, Bonnie Ufert, brother Doug Silk, and 8 nieces and 4 nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation on Friday, from 4-8 PM, in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, PA, 15003, from where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 11 AM.
