Beryl Michael, 90 of Rochester, PA formerly of Ambridge, was called home to Our Lord and Savior on May 15, 2020. Born March 23, 1930, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, she was the only daughter of the late Clifford and Iris (Farrar) Snyder.
A beautiful mother with a heart of gold, Beryl is survived by her only son, her “Babe” Chuck (Connie) Michael of Liberty Township, Ohio, her 2 precious and cherished granddaughters Nicole (Jay) Dyches, Hoboken Georgia, Dawn (Cedric) Whitlock, Fayetteville, North Carolina, 9 great grandchildren Michael Hammond, Mackenzie Arnett, Briley Dyches, Breanna Dyches, Kayley Sides, Corey Whitlock, Nevaeh Whitlock, Nalana Whitlock, Cededrion Whitlock, and “Grand-doggie” - her fur-baby grandson “Feherty”, nephew Gene (Donna Flajnik) Snyder, niece Diane (Besong) Snyder Russell, great nieces and nephews Dale “Buddy” Snyder, Dana (Snyder) Callender, and Deanna (Snyder) Wilson.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her beloved husband Chuck Michael who died January 28, 1993 who she dearly missed every day, brothers Gene Snyder Sr. and Charles Snyder, sister in law Carrie Snyder, and nephew Dale Robert Snyder.
Many remember Beryl when she worked at Sewickley Valley Hospital for 28 years as a Radiology Patient Transporter always having a big smile and loving personality. She never met a stranger. Beryl was a wonderful cook and baker, known for her scrumptious desserts especially her Ho-Ho Cake and Crème Puff Cake and her beef rump roast and mashed potatoes. She always had a pot of coffee ready for guest and loved to sit around her dining table and visit.
The last 7 years she endured dialysis treatments 3 times a week and was loved dearly by the staff the past 5 years at Hearts 2gether Homes and Rochester Manor and Villa. Her giggle and laugh were contagious, always had a sparkle in her eye and was a favorite patient to many of her aides and nurses. She loved country music and would listen to it for hours. She was a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ambridge, Pa.
The family wants to thank the staff of Rochester Manor & Villa and Hearts 2gether Homes for their loving care and support.
Due to the current health restrictions funeral services were held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive Ambridge, PA 15003.
