Annette Hope Valentine Hramika, 83, of Ambridge, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 with her loving children by her side.
Born February 5, 1938, at her grandmother’s home in Ambridge, PA, Annette was a daughter of the late Anthony and Sophie Phillips Valentine. She graduated from St. Veronica Catholic High School and worked at SEARS for over 20 yrs. before retiring. Annette was devoted to God, her husband and family. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved them endlessly. Annette loved to cook, especially for others... And what an amazing cook she was!
Annette was an active member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church where she was a member of the Pastoral Council, Festival Leadership Committee, Christian Mothers/Ladies' Guild. She also coordinated many of the church’s cooking and baking events.
God blessed Annette with an enormous giving heart and a passion to serve others. She lived her life helping others. As a testament of her Catholic faith and stewardship character, Annette received the Father Marcus O’Brien Service Award by Catholic Charities for exemplary service to the Beaver County Catholic Community in 2005.
In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 49 yrs, Stephen Andrew Hramika; her eldest grandson, Edward Klavin II, her two sisters; Isabelle Nutz and Dolores Johnson and brother-in-law, John Johnson.
Surviving are her three devoted children; Toni Marie (Edward) Klavin of Aledo, Texas, Jeffrey Hramika, of Ambridge, and ClaudiaAnn (Jeffery) May of Viola, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Brittani (Blake) Briggs, Kaleb, Hannah, and Krissie Marie May of Kansas, Dalena, Chariton and Barbara Klavin of Texas; one precious great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Casey Briggs; sister-in-law Margaret Kaunert, Baden; many nieces and nephews; and countless caring church friends that she considered her extended family.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge until time of prayer service at 11:00 AM. Friends may gather at 11:15 AM in the Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge to pay their respect to the family followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12:00 p.m. Rev. David J. Egan will be celebrant. Masks are required.
Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery where Annette will be laid to rest next to her beloved Stephen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to The Christian Mothers/Ladies' Guild of Good Samaritan, 725 Glenwood Ave., Ambridge, PA 15003.
