Agnes F. Myers, 95, of Ambridge, died Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 3, 1926, in West Aliquippa, to the late Michael and Anna (Petrako) Simon. She was a retired employee of the tin mill department at the former J & L Steel Corporation, Aliquippa Works. Agnes was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, William R. Myers, son-in-law, Terry McDowell, four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Roy Maynard, Ann and Harry Slobodian, Helen and Al Rutkowski, Irene and Ted Janicki, two brothers, Michael Simon and Joseph Simon, and brother-in-law, Rudy Havranek. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth McDowell of South Heights, two grandchildren, Tracy McDowell and Ron Vescio of Clinton and Brian McDowell of South Heights, a sister, Eleanor Havranek of Conway, numerous loving nieces and nephews and her beloved grand-dogs, Diesel, Sadie and Ted. Family and friends are invited to meet Wednesday at Good Samaritan Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
