Wanda Mural Mihalek, 90, of Economy Borough went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was born June 28, 1928 in Powhatan Point, Ohio to the late Lee and Nancy Elizabeth (Doty) Baker. Wanda was united in marriage to George Mihalek, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1989. A devoted mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating her home, and styling hair as a licensed cosmetologist. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Conway. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and George Mihalek, brothers, Halbert, Aaron, Francis, and Harold Baker, sisters, Della Hranko, Mabel Brunner, and Naomi Mihalek, dear friends, Carl Ditto and Ernest Brunner. Wanda is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Glenn) Smeltz, grandchildren, Beth Yosler, Sharon (David) Abbott, Jessica (Ryan) Dreher, Mark (Krista Laux) Smeltz, as well as five great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Nathan Yosler, DJ and Kassy Leinwald, and Declan Dreher, 3 brothers, Kennard, Harry, and Floyd Baker, and 2 sisters, Velma Gallagher and Gladys Harlan. The family would like to thank Providence Health Care and Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver for their care and consideration. Friends will be received Sunday, May 5th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered Monday at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park
