Rita P. (Rowe) Colorito, of Economy Borough, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Elmcroft Assisted Living Facility in Chippewa, Pa. Born January 3, 1930, in Beaver Falls, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette Rowe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Louis Colorito in 2016; a brother, Ralph Rowe; and a daughter-in-law, Christine A. (Totin) Colorito. A 1948 graduate of Beaver Falls High School, she was a former employee of the Duquesne Light Company, California Telephone Company and District Magistrate Lewis Kirschner. She was a member of the former Christ the King Church now Good Samaritan Parish, Ambridge, Pa. Rita was a lover of music and dance and square danced with the Happy Bunch Square Dance Club for 20 years. A Pittsburgh sports fan you could always find her watching or listening to the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins as well as Pitt basketball and football. She is survived by two sons, Bruce R. Colorito (Cindy) of Economy Borough and Louis J. Colorito, Jr., of Aurora, Ohio; five grandsons, Louis Michael, Munhall, Pa.; Aaron (Laura), Upper St. Clair, Pa.; Stephen, Munhall, Pa.; Adam (Aubree), Greenfield, Pa.; and Brett, Economy Borough; a brother, Richard Rowe (Peggy), Beaver Falls, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Rowe, Stuart, Fla.; and eleven nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, on Friday, March 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be held Saturday, March 10, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. at Good Samaritan Parish. Interment will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, P.O. Box 302, Maryknoll, NY 10545-0302. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Elmcroft Assisted Living Facility and Grane Hospice for the excellent care and compassion extended to Rita while under their care.
