Olga Guzick Permon, 97, a resident of Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, Baden, formerly of Ambridge, died Thursday, April 18, 2019. Olga was born September 27, 1921 in McKees Rocks, to the late Michael and Frances (Warcholak) Guzick and was the stepdaughter of the late John Bobak. Olga was a devoted member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Ambridge. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and stepfather were her husband Edwin Permon, June 5, 1982, a son, Edwin Ronald Permon, brother, John Guzick, sister, Mary Guzick Chekanowsky, stepbrother, William Bobak, two stepsisters, Julie and Mary Boback. She is survived by her life long special friend, Shirley of Ambridge and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday from 4 PM until time of Parastas service at 7:30 P.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. Translation to the church will follow at 8 PM. Additional visitation will take place from 9 AM til time of funeral service at 10 AM in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with her pastor, The Very Rev. Michael Kochis officiating. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Vladimir Parish Endowment Fund, 313 Ninth Street, Ambridge, Pa. 15003. The family would like to thank the staff of Concordia at the Villa St Joseph and Good Samaritan for the loving and compassionate care extended to Olga while under their care.
