Nancy J. Wilcox, 76, formerly of Ambridge and Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in her home in Wilmington, N.C.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Norbert Ferrence, her parents, William J. and Josephine Towcimak and a sister, Donna Lynn.
She is survived by her brother, Richard W. Towcimak and sister-in-law, Deborah A. Krol Towcimak; a nephew, Alex Towcimak of Economy; two daughters, Dee Dee Covelli (Dan) and Nicole Lynn Turley of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Tea Covelli and Savannah Turley. She is also survived by close family, Andrea Zeranick; Lori, Joe and Landon Musser; David Zeranick; Janet and Ed Doyle; Brian, Tara, Ellie and Ben; many cousins and friends.
Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Ambridge High School and a former employee of Economy Bank of Ambridge, Equitable Gas Company, Pittsburgh, Openheimer Corporation, Kansas City, Missouri, and the Pennsylvania State Police in Brighton Township, Pa.
As a devoted mother and grandmother, she always put her family first and never enjoyed herself more than to be with her family at holidays and gatherings. She was known for her bubbly personality and her take charge attitude. As a CPO for the Pennsylvania State Police, she spent countless hours helping to coordinate. the response to the crash of U.S. Air Flight 427 in 1994 in Hopewell Township.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral and memorial service were held in Wilmington, N.C.
