Kathleen Schmetzer

Kathleen Schmetzer, 72, of South Heights, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. She was born July 31, 1946 in Pittsburgh,  PA to the late James and Eleanor (Mahaney) Burke. She worked for The Avenue at Northern Lights Shopping Center for many years. She was a past Democrat chairwomen of South Heights and worked with the election bureau for many years. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Gloria Burke. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert Schmetzer, Sr., daughter, Mary (Robert) Martin of Fombell, son, Robert (Aimee) Schmetzer, Jr. of Luserne, CA, three grandchildren, Megan Martin, Khyla Allis, and Nicole Fisher, nieces, Rhonda (Tim) Temple, Michelle (Pete) Sarvy and Melissa (Chad) Culley,  great nephews,  Logan and Trevor Temples and Andrew Culley. Friends will be recieved on Sunday from 1 PM until time of funeral services at 4 30 PM in the John Syka Funeral
