Frances Mehno, 94, of Baden, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Rochester Manor.
She was born October 8, 1923, in Economy, Pa., to the late Michael and Mary Kohanic Mutz. She was a meat wrapper for Giant Eagle and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Baden where she was member of the Christian Mothers Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW). Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, John Mehno, four brothers, Michael, Joseph, Frank and Anthony Mutz and five sisters, Veronica Modrack, Mary Botsko, Ann Nieman, Catherine Vlasic, and Agnes Trunzo.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Richard) Soldressen of Ambridge, a son, John Mehno of Baden, two sisters, Margaret (Craig) Begley of Vanport, and Helen Piccirilli of Bowie, MD, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday from 1-5 P.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered Monday at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.
