Darrell A. Kirschler, 61, of Ambridge, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 4, 2019. He was born July 17, 1958 in Rochester, to the late Larry and Janice (Wolfe) Kirschler. He was a construction worker doing everything from the concrete to the shingles and everything in between. A 1976 graduate of Ambridge High School, he attended Georgia-Southern University on a gymnastics scholarship. His accomplishments included multiple Pennsylvania State Gymnist Titles and ranked in the Top Ten in national competitions. Darrell loved hunting and the outdoors, working in his garden, cooking, and his job in construction. He had a very strong work ethic. He is survived by his girlfriend and longtime companion, Brenda Dudek, Ambridge, brother, Brian Kirschler of Conway, sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Villane of Texas, nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Sill of Binghamton, NY, Valerie Villane and her husband Reuben Garcia of Clarksville, TN, Aimee Villane of Albuquerque, NM, and Shawn Kirschler of Ambridge. There was no public visitation or services and interment will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. Ambridge Pa.
