Chris Theodore

Chris Theodore, 88, of Baden, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in Heritage Valley, Sewickley. She was born on March 5, 1931 in Homestead, Pa. to the late John and Evangeline (Chuckmas) Harris. Chris was an office worker for Sears and Roebuck retiring in 1988 with 25 years of service, She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Ambridge where she was a member of the Ladies Philoptothos Society. She enjoyed crocheting but her real passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Chris loved traveling and taking trips to Erie and the mountains. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, George Theodore, a son, Nicholas Theodore, infant grand-daughters, Marissa and Athena Theodore and a brother, Thomas Harris. She is survived by two sons, John (Virginia) Theodore of Baden, Andrew (Jenny) Theodore of Raccoon Twp., three grandchildren, Bobbie Renea (Aaron) Dunham of Seattle, Washington, Victoria (Joe) Thomas of Ambridge,  Alyssa Theodore and Nick Poloka of Moon Twp., nine great grandchildren, April Birtwell, Ashley Birtwell, Allie Vigrass, Sandy Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Olivia Thomas, Sara Thomas, AJ Dunham, and Charlet Dunham, four great great grandchildren, Aleah, Adelynn, Nicholas, and Sophia, daughter-in-law, Beverley Theodore of Port St. Lucie, FL  a sister, Maria Romesberg of Southpointe, numerous nieces 
and nephews, and her two faithful feline companions, Prince and Missy.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where a Trisagion service will be held at 7:30 PM. Additional visitation will take place on Saturday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at Noon in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2930 Beaver Rd., Ambridge, Pa. 15003. Father Anastasios Athanasiou will officiate. Interment will follow in Economy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
