Ella May Sala, 88, a resident of the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Beaver Twp., formerly of Ambridge, died Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born April 25, 1929, in Rossiter, Indiana County, Pa., to the late Adam Monroe White and Margaret Bertha Newcome. She was a member of the Polish Falcons Lodge Nest 182, Ambridge. Ella May will be remembered for her sense of humor, avid storytelling and her passion for people. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Carl Sala; siblings, Jim White, Earl White, Elizabeth Rager, Mona Wilson, Ernest White, Earl White, Roy White, and infant sister, Ivy Pearl White. Surviving are a brother, Oliver White of Idaho; a sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Martin Horne of Utah, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 2:30 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge. Private interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
